Of course it is, but still the same as $30 for a hood. Not my cup of tea, but then I don't drink tea either :D

I bought a meter of this stuff a while ago and did all my dash bits in my BMW as it was originally wood so looked awful , still got a tiny bit left may do my hood too if I can find it

Watched a few YouTube videos there and it looks easy enough to do, think ill do my hoods. There's a 6 page thread on here with people hating it but I quite like it and have been wanting to do something to stop the hoods scratching for a while

Why not? That stuff peels off almost effortlessly and Canon's hood pick up scuffs very easily.

Or just a clear polish wrap would look nice, too.

I bought my 50L off this forum and it came with the hood wrapped that way. I was surprised to see it but I like it.

The hardest thing is getting the weave to line up right, looks like the shop did an excellent job. I've done some easy hoods but my 24-70 flared too much and I had problems stretching it even with heat. I personally like the look maybe I'll bring my hoods to a vinyl place

It increases performance by 12.34%, at least.
