...I know the lens is dusty, forgot to clean it first. :P

Otherwise...thoughts?

Beautiful light! What setup did you use? (flash) and what do you use as background?

They look good, but you cropped #2 to the image, but didn't do the same to #1 which might look better as a vertical crop. And traditionally, clocks are usually set to 10 & 2. Look in any ad. ; )

I had a little "photo box" thing my dad bought me like 7 years ago and I finally decided to use it...I'll see if I can take a pic of it later because it's kinda hard to explain. But basically it opens up to a product photo box (maybe 2' x 2'). 3 white shoot-through wall (left, right, and top), and then you have a choice of 2 backdrops that go from the back/top and cover the bottom as well like a reg seamless.

Lighting: 430 EXII at ETTL shooting through right wall (angled up so to shoot through the side and bounce some off the top as well), and 580 EXII also ETTL but -1 stop I hand held above the box shooting through the top at different angles till I got what I liked. Triggered by the STE2 on camera.

Good point...I'll try a better crop on the watch. I never noticed that about the watches! I'm so oblivious sometimes. Thanks for the tips.

Really? I'm glad you guys think so! Now I feel bad for not trying harder with the lens shot. Maybe I'll clean it up a bit and work a little more in post to make it even better!

I think they both look great, watch hands are set at 10 and 2 to frame the makes name;)
If you can ditch the lens cap imho 2 would look a lot better.

It works for me.

I'd re-shoot it (and change the time to 10 & 2) but I don't have my flashes anymore. Gotta save up and get a couple new guns. :(
