Show us your photos with this camera. I miss my G11, and I am very interested in this camera.
Thanks!

So is this going to be the awesomest point and shoot or the G1x is?

I would really like to have something potable, irrespective of the price

I think the G15 is "the next big thing" in the Canon G series with 1/1.7" sensors. People are already wondering what the G16 will do to improve on the G15... We are never happy with whatever is presented to us. This results in a constant product turnover each year so the camera companies can continue to sell us something new...again and again.

The G series cameras appeal to thinking photographers with photo skills. I truly enjoy the quality of examples posted here. Some other user groups are good too.

I missed my G9 with Franiec grip when I needed my G11. My LX5 was not a worthy successor to the '11.

Considering...(my wife says I should have registered as 2mnycameras)

Picked up my G15 from my local camera shop on the way home from work. So far, I've only taken a single macro test shot taken just to make sure there aren't any major problems. Battery is changing now, and I'm planning on taking it out with me later on.

Hi,

My G15 arrived today and I am very impressed with the build quality as well as the camera's operation. I got home late and did not have time to take many shots. The image shown below is one of the first images I took with the camera. I reduced it in size for posting; however, the link below is the actual unretouched/unmodified image. I will post more after I learn my way around the G15.

Regards,

Joe
