Been playing with OCF with inanimate objects, this is the first time I really had a chance with live models. C&C welcomed and appreciated.

Pretty good job for your first time. Use a reflector to add some fill light next time. Watch the height of your lights, too. In the first pic, the light was a little too low. It should be slightly above the height of your model.

Gear: EOS 5DMKII; EOS 400D (infrared converted); Canon 24-105mm f/4 L; Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8-4 EX; Canon 70-200mm f/4 L; Canon 135mm f/2.0 L; Pentax SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 with EOS adaptor, Rokinon 14mm f/2.8; only enough knowledge to be a clear and present danger to society.

Thanks for the feedback gibbit1, I did notice during PP the light was too low and a little to hot in some shots, didn't notice it on the camera screen at the time. I agree, a reflector would definitely help.

Thanks Erik for your suggestion. I had a small Lumiquest Promax III on one flash, but it is so small (8" x9") that it really didn't help much. I plan on getting a couple softboxes in the near future. I have been researching them here, it looks like the cheaper ones are exactly that, so I am saving for some good quality ones, might as well do it right the first time.

This is the one and only I have/use and it works perfectly 12" x 16" x 9", easy to mount and really portable. The portrait photos on my flicker was using that :D
