Sigma 1.4x EX APO AF Teleconverter

as an aside...

I've got a clunky old Sigma 135-400 APO and the autofoucs works with my T*mron 1.4x TC,

just for the record I now have the sigma 1.4 TC and 150 macro combo and it works but the AF sticks if it cant focus eg in poor light. A turn of the focus ring and it is off and running again.
You can use the Canon TC with this lens but because of its front element protrusion you have to place an extension tube between the macro lens and the front of the Canon TC - IQ is very good but it wont focus to infinity of course.

And I have used my Sigma 2x converter with my Sigma 150. Works beautifully, but no AF. I know it isn't what you were asking, but I figure the 1.4x should work as well.

hmmm wonder why no AF cause 2x would only make it a f5.6 and all the cameras should still hold AF
