Geomagnetic storm expected!

Just an FYI for anyone in the northern/southern hemispheres, Spaceweather.com and NOAA have predicted a good possibility for a geomagnetic storm 8 Oct! I am hoping for some clear skies, and I am scouting some different locations, to shoot from! Just thought I would mention it.

Higher latitude folks have a better chance of seeing an aurora. I'll probably not get to see it this time around. Also, watch for the Draconid meteor shower on Oct 7-8.

Well the CME from the sun arrived, and I managed to capture a couple of shots during breaks in the clouds and very heavy winds! I was hundled over the camera to try and diminish shake, but even with my tripod strapped to my bag on the ground it was not enough! It was still very, very cool to see and capture!
