Try:

http://www.birdsasart.com/accs.html#JRF (external link)

Or

http://www.rue.com/raincovers.html (external link)

Never bought from either of these sites, but saved them for future reference just like this.

A sleeve cut from an old camo shirt works well for me. If I ever plan to sell my lens, there are no marks, glue or tape left on the lens. Many sporting goods stores carry camo material and even Walmart has camo shirts that can easily be cut to the lens size.

I cut an arm of an old sweater and pulled it over my 500/4. Works fine and didn't cost much. :)

I have the $110. one and I think it is worth it. It not only looks great, it is also helping with small bumps and knocks (it is like extra padding) and is fairly waterproof. What is $100 compared to the price of the lens? I'm sure it will also help the resale value.

As previously mentioned there are 2 manufactures of the neoprene lens covers, some other differences besides the camouflage pattern and the nearly 20% difference in price is that the LensCoat does not cover up the distance scale but has a PVC window making it visible. The PVC plastic used over the IS window is a more flexible plastic allowing for easier access to the covered controls. The LensCoat has a hole punched in segment that has the lens mount mark (red dot) on the lens for easy alignment with the camera body or extenders. The LensCoat is available for lenses such as the 400 f/5.6 the 1.4x and 2.x extenders with others due out shortly. You can purchase the LensCoat directly from http://lenscoat.com (external link) or from http://www.naturescapes.net/store/pr...&cat=12&page=1 (external link). A great way to protect your investment and break up the shape of the big white lens.

What is neoprene? Is it like diving dry suit? Stick it on the barrel or simply wear it on the barrel?
