Hey All,
I currently have a bower sf035c, and I have a 420ex available to me, and I have no idea if it's an upgrade or not. I have a 40d body.

I've read reviews, watched videos, and it doesn't seem like there's any real advantages. Who's got the skinny?

Unless it's a really good deal or your Bower isn't working out for you I wouldn't even bother with the 420ex. I would suggest spending the money on a flash that has more manual control for some off camera work.

The 420 doesnt have manual controls, so I wouldnt invest much in it.
