Just when I thought it was over, Santa arrived in a surprising way. Got a great deal from my brother on a couple of lenses and I couldn't let the deal pass.

I have now crossed into the L side. I picked up the 17-40L and the 70-200 f4 L which he has had for a few months. Now I need to sell my Tamron 17-35. I love the Tamron, but I love the fast USM focusing. I'll look for some ducks.

I guess in this instance, a hand-me-down isn't all that bad, eh? Or did he make you pay for them?

I gave my brother my 28-135 IS after getting the 24-70 but I didn't make him pay for it. Actually, it was a bribe since he let me stay at his place during my 2 week vacation in California last month. :)

Oh, I'm paying for them...but it was an acceptable deal and I was hoping to get these lenses some day. I just didn't think I would get them this soon.
