So I just sent off my beloved 1d MkIII off to Canon for a clean and check today but last week I started noticing that the AF was starting to get slow and wouldn't quite lock on so hopefully Canon can let me know whats up with that. I am not sure that the recall notice for the AF when the camera just came out has ever been done or not.

Keeping my fingers crossed

Hopefully they'll get you fixed up at no cost..

I sent mine in after having it a while to have the exposure checked since it was underexposing a little. Turns out the AF was a little off (very little), but since it was outside the serial number range they charged me something like $100 to fix it.
Everything is spot on now!

Good luck!
