My landscape/nature photography is definitely my weakest subject, but I have been working hard to just have fun and try to improve my skills as much as I can.

This morning I went for a hike in my backyard with my dad and dog, and just snapped some pretty things that caught my eye. I love foliage, and we are just coming up on peak here in Connecticut! It was very foggy and overcast, so I am sure there is a lot of room for improvement, but I wanted to share! Please let me know any favorites you might have!

#1 is lovely.

Perhaps it would benefit from a little tickle with a software graduated filter to control the brightness at the top of the image?

If you have such software, care to show me? I am terrible with area edits!

That's your backyard? Damn! Beautiful place! I like #2 and #4 the best. Kinda reminds me of when I was at Walden Pond a couple of years ago.

Do you have Lightroom? It's really easy in that package.

Here's a great tutorial video (external link).

I live on a former farm! 80 acres of fields, ponds, and some hilly forests! Thanks for the feedback :]
