Help on a family photo

I added a Warming Photo Filter.

He looks less blue...

quick question - Were you planning on keeping the photo looking as natural as possible - If not, and you're open to some creative editing... I would try aiming for maybe a vintage look or some retro looking filter effect.

Try experimenting with different looks - you might be surprised by what you come up with.


Wish I could do more but unfortunately I'm at work right now and cant help with a quick edit.

I still say you can do better with the grass - colour and exposure.
I added a warming filter and also did as I already said above (plus a crop)

Spike44, your edit looks so much better than mine! If you have the time, will you please tell me how?
You go to Image, Adjustments, Shadows/Highlights, but what sliders did you change? I tried playing around with them and didn't get good results.
Then Add a layer mask and erase out everything but the grass?

Samsen, didn't see yours. Also major improvements, I would love to know how to do this!

- Color corrected the image as a whole, then selectively man's face that had more cold tone.
I usually do this by adding a blank layer on top and fill it with needed color, here orange, then set layer on Overlay, opacity corrected to taste.

- Did the same thing for grass only filling with green color.

- Cloned some of the grass you didn't like on left of image from same level grass on the right.

- Little run of burn tool on where needed.

- Just a tad of sharpening with USM filter.
