I only ask because my model was being picky about it. I like it, personally. What's the general consensus on it, though? Maybe my opinion is just wrong.

Of course, if it is, I'm not telling her! ;)

I would say, "No" it's a distraction.

I like it. I think we should take more "natural" shots from time to time...too much perceived perfection is taking the spice out of photography. Leave it be...:)

Oh right...hair...Honestly I like it in this shot. Her hair is a little "roughed up" a little everywhere so it goes. Provides more of a natural, less posed look. If the rest of her hair was perfectly straight, and flawless, then It might not work as well.

Just my opinion though.

Her hair is a LITTLE too messy on the left side though for my taste.

I think that hair in the face generally is a distraction but it works in this picture.

I agree. If it weren't a black/white screen I might try to edit it out a little bit.

I like it. I think a little messy hair can be very sexy as it is here.

Take it out and see how it looks.

i agree that if the rest of her hair was DickClark pasted in place, then the stray strands across her face would be an issue...

since she is sporting the 'outdoor where things arent perfect' look, then i think it fine. maybe could use a bit more strands even....

-im just trying. sometimes i succeed

There is no right or wrong in art :)

I happen to like it - the image tells a story this way - it's a raw capture of a moment - imperfectly beautiful. It is "right" for me...

If your client does not like it, than it is "wrong" for her, and hopefully there are other images without it in her face.

The hair on her right near her chin is fine, but the hair from her left across her nose is too much...Great shot otherwise though.
