just seen this on e bay.
it says it is not for digital
it looks like the one i bought in tenerife the other week for £110
it err 99 on my 350 ,i am in the process of sending it to sigama for rechipping

will the e bay one not work full stop with digital.
the one i bought is 105 2.8 ex lens
when rechipped will it be ok on digital
im worried now

I once had a 100-300 from Sigma that caused err99 and froze the mirror up. I never had a problem after it was re-chipped from Sigma, I only had to cover shipping costs. I doubt that you will have any problems after you get it back.

I would assume so, the mechanics of the pre-digital lenses are the same, the chip is just an interpreter to tell the aperture and the AF motor what to do. New chips are fluent in over 6 million forms of communication, including binary water......wait.....go​t off track. They just know how to interpret the camera output, that's all.

the e bay one seems a good bargain for anybody looking for this lens.
