as above. i've shot concerts with the t2i before (using 60mm macro, 17-50 tamron) and it was awesome. have not shot with my 5dii yet.

just wondering - is it worth it to sacrifice some quality for extra reach using the t2i on that lens? :D

How far away are you sitting? If you have gotten awesome results with a 60mm and a 50mm on a crop, 200mm f/2.8 is going to be outstanding on a 5D.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

it's free seating, so i'm going there early to book the nearest+most central seats.. hahaha. not the official photographer unfortunately, so i won't be allowed to stand near the stage and take shots.

can't be sure how far is that gonna be, that's why i bought the 70-200 just for this purpose. (will sell it away after my kid's event :D)

I have shot concerts, recitals and school plays with both (actually with the t3i and 5D2). The files produced by the 5D2 were superior. There was no comparison. Use the 5D2.
