Hi all, I was just after some opinions on the above lens for my 60D. I mainly photograph my kids and have read great reviews about it but would love to hear from someone who also primarily shoots kids (so to speak :D).
My requirements –
- Decent image quality, though I’ve no plans to enlarge a print past an 8x10
- Not too heavy (it’ll be a “go-to” lens that will always be on my camera)
- Relatively quick auto-focus

I’m not interested in shooting macro, landscapes (unless my kids just happen to be standing in front of a particularly stunning rainbow) or sports.

Advice much appreciated, thank you :)

you might want to ask in the lens section - plenty of owners of Sigma 17-50 2.8 will attest that it's a good standard crop zoom

Mine is excellent. Gets good use between it and my Sigma 50-150 2.8 OS on my 7d. Both are sharp wide open with excellent focusing speed and accuracy.
