CAUGHT ME !!!!

Photographing wild animals in their own environment is challenging, but also fun. You can wait for hours in what you think is a concealed spot, only to have your photographic prey hear something as simple as a shutter. This is the result of waiting about four hours, near a trail that was used by these deer, day after day, in the June Lake area of California. Comments always encouraged.

I like them. Especially #2 where the deer is 'surrounded by its environment'.

#1 seems a bit soft.

Well captured! I too prefer to shoot in the natural environment and I can stay out for hours. Your patience paid off; these deer are gorgeous!

I love the payoff of just sitting for a while and having the animals come right by...except when they get so close they're inside the MFD of the long lens It's still cool then, you just can't capture those moments well...heh

like the 2nd one - I am alway surprised how they can just disappear in the brush
