I have posted these on urban & life travel forum, but I think this is a more appropriate forum for posting my first real try at nature & landscape photography.. I'm sorry if you have already viewed these photos. C&C would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I thought it looked somewhat familiar. Nice colors. I'll be around Convict Lake to Conway Summit starting Friday evening... :D

I'm not going to critique all of them. But to me 4 is the best.

The only two things I would be critical of is #7, the foreground is a little distracting. I have found it very rare that putting something in the foreground like that works. An interesting object, in focus in the foreground is good, "blocking" the viewers view of the scene with blurry plants/fences/trees etc is not usually.

Also 3 would be a nice overall scene but A)would look better with some clouds (out of your control) and B)the boats and trucks kind of turn it into a nice snapshot.

Colors are great though and really #4 is great, congrats.

Nice shots. If these are your first tries you have a good eye for composition. The first one is a little busy for me, though. I like the third one but the vehicles grab my attention a bit too much but there's nothing you could have done about that if you wanted that shot. The colors are great.
