This barn is just a couple miles up the road from me. It's been there for years as you can tell. CC appreciated.

You have a good eye. Yes I did blur it in Photoshop. Maybe I'll try one without.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Great capture of a wonderful subject. You could find these old Mail Pouch barns all over the northeast 30 years ago.

Hope you don't mind me intruding on your post, but I couldn't resist posting my photo of a Mail Pouch Barn. This one is just over the West Virginia line near Winchester, VA.

Bob, I can think of about 4 others in the MD, PA, and WVA area still standing right now. Your barn is a new one for me. Might have to take a Sunday drive to your neck of the woods to get a photo of it.

Mail Pouch Tobacco used the barns like billboards for advertising while the farmers got their barns painted for free. You'll see them near main highways - or at least highways that used to be main thoroughfares. There is still two of them visible from the PA Turnpike that I know of. I havn't had the nerve to stop on the turnpike to snap a few photos - too many trucks and narrow lanes.

Nice one Bob, love the sepia tone effect you did on it. zeker that's a sweet shot of the barn also. It looks in darn good shape, almost new as a matter of fact, nice to see someone actually taking care of there barn.
