I haven't posted in quite awhile. Here are a few shots from a recent session. We had a blast roaming around downtown Richmond, VA.

Lots of really good pictures here, she looks fun to shoot. The only thing I would have changed was I wish you had used a longer focal length for thinner DOF in a bunch of these shots, esp the ones lines running through. Too much is in focus @ 30mm even wide open for my taste.

We had a ton of fun. Here are a few outtakes:

I agree with using a slightly more shallow DOF in some of them. I didn't use the 70-200 in any of these. In any case, they were very happy with the shots.

I forgot to include their favorite:

#4 and #7 for me. I like the separation from the bg. The others seem a tad too busy for me even though they have an urban feel to them. I think #8 could have worked better if she was playing the violin or viola...not sure which it is, and then making eye contact. I think i like #2 as well...she shines playfully beautiful here.

She didn't want to lose the city in the shots, so I didn't totally blow the bg away. Here's my favorite shot of her playing the violin.

I really like these but especially the two with the violin in (number 8 and the last one).

Good set! Beautiful and not simple model, it is necessary to be careful with a foreshortening choice. The model has large hips 3 and the 6th shots show them the very heavy.

My impression is the first several photos are random photos taken without premeditation. The locations aren't anything special is what I'm saying. The last 2 photos are definitely better than all the previous ones. Why? Composition.
