Hello All,

Here's some of my Sister-in-Law, taken for her Senior Portraits, I'm using my own siblings to advertise for me, shameful, I know...

I have several more seniors to shoot before all the fall colors are gone, so I really appreciate the feedback, since I can put in into effect: today & tomorrow actually :) I think I'm getting better, but I still need lots of help!

All shot with a 5D2 and either a 50mm 1.4 or 85mm 1.8 with fill flash bounced off a reflector to soften the light.

1. This one is a Bokehrama, or a Brenzier method shot, first I've tried, I need to do the merge in Photoshop since Microsoft ICE failied alot...

4. I need to clone the background on this one...

In the first one you did a lot of work without perhaps getting the payoff. The method works, but you have her dead center in a composition that sort of competes with her. I'd rather see more her, and less background.

#2 is good, but watch the crop on her leg/ankle, its awkward to have it sort of fade into the corner of the frame.

#3 is too warm on the wb and it looks oversaturated to me I think you might be able to do better with another round of processing

#4 This one shows the problem of perspective distortion by using the 50 on a full frame camera and getting too close. It subtly emphasizes her nose.

good shots... but your WB is different on every pic. In #1, there's not enough contrast. Need to add some darks into it.

i like the pointers here and think they are spot on. Nice effort...#2 maybe the most presentable, #3 could also work with a tad more processing....backing off the sat, removing the leaf camera left, maybe hit the highlights down a tad and then mask it to only reduce the flowers brightness.

Really dislike that oval shaped white blob on the first one... The rest should be ok. Watch your composition and cropping (legs on the second image)

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

I will do some cropping and re-processing on a few of them. I think the Brenzier method one will be tossed, I had a willing subject, so I thought I would give it a try for fun mostly.

Out shooting more Seniors later today, so your comments are very helpful! I will make sure to use my 85mm more!
