They sell them there? The highest I've seen around here, even in the store that has the expanded photo section, is a 7D. I think they are going to start carrying the 6D in many of the stores though...just wait for the bundle deal that includes a 55-250 for only $150 more..........which won't fit.

Don't worry, even if you can't get the will call ticket. I will be scalping them by the front gate.

The sales person that sold me on the T2I said the only difference when compared to the T3I was a flip out screen.

I should have researched it myself but as a starter body, I am happy with it. It still knows more than I do.

I work at Best Buy. When hired they put me into Home Theater as a part timer. Recently one of the full timers in the portables department (Cameras, gaming, movies, music) quit and I applied and got the position due to my knowledge of cameras . But now I am constantly catching people I work with giving false information and I quickly correct it lol. LOL example: Guy came in and was speaking with my supervisor. He said "I was just up at Huppins and they sold me a 5D Mark II for $1,700". He then said that he was wanting to make sure he did not get ripped off. My manager then said "I'm sorry but that was not a good deal, we carry the 7D for the same price". He then was saying that it was the newer model/version of the 5D. I heard this and immediately went up and said "Uhhhhh the 5D is a full frame camera and the 7D is a crop sensor, two totally different classes of cameras". HAHAHAHA. I also loved when I heard a co-worker claim that shutter speed is what changed the DOF. Oh the joys of hearing people spew incorrect information.

Interesting. But at the same time, it’s not about knowledge, really. People are just trying to sell their stuff. You won’t find a lot of people working at stores that know much about cameras.

I worked at geek squad for a time. We were building a house and I took it as a second job, yay for employee discount! I had much the same problem, a few of my coworkers would just be wrong a lot. They also left most of the real issues for me to fix, but I didn't mind, it was better than installing Norton for the thousandth time. I upsold so many flash drives to people who had just lost data or had a close call..

I was checking out our newest big box electronics retailer to see what sort of gear they might have on the shelf. As I approached the camera kiosk I overheard the clerk speaking with a young couple. He was trying to upsell to a higher level DSLR by saying "both have similar features, but with this one you get increased pixelation." I assume he meant it had more megapixels. My wife quickly dragged me away as I was preparing to order them to flee the store while I beat him about the head and shoulders with a rolled up newspaper.

I once heard a salesperson advise a couple to get a point and shoot instead of a dSLR because it had a smaller sensor and therefore gave better image quality, and that was what the pros used anyway.

I was literally in shock.
