Short-eared Owl I found today. Taken with the 7d + 500mm. First time seeing one of these owls ever! Please critique away.

super shots. would like to see bigger ones though. Owls are great and so hard to find. good job!

Thanks! You'd like to see them in a larger resolution? I found 3 today. Great Horned, short-eared and the last I'm not sure. I'll have to post here to get an id on it.

Lovely capture. I'd suggest cropping closer to remove the barbed wire.

Yeah I suppose I can crop closer and probably clone out the barbed wire. I'll give it a try thanks.

Yeah I used Photoshop but just use the spot removal tool in lightroom. You should be able to just drag it over whatever you want to disappear.
