I purchased a 5D almost a year ago and it came with a "ScanDisk Ultra II 2.0" that I really never used. I recently took my 40D out of the closet to use for the crop factor with my tele. Every time, 2 to be exact, that I try to get the pictures off the card or even view them, I keep getting Error Code 0x80070570" which is a registry file error according to a google search. I tried 2 of the various "fixes" programs that they suggest, but still not go.
So tonight I tried a different CF card and it I was able to view and take the picture off of it.
I have tried to format it in camera before shooting, no go.
Tried to format via computer and then in the camera, no go.
Tonight did a "disk scan" (checks for errors) and it cam back with a bunch. It fixed some but still unable to read anything off the card. It just says, "Unable to decode".
I am going to guess a bad\faulty card.
