Do you feel these images are over sharpened? Working with a new camera and I feel my previous workflow may be sharpening abit too much. What do you think?

The 3rd one seems a little over sharpened to me... It starts to distract from a really cool shot IMHO.

The other two no

They are very intensely sharp! But, I like that on a monitor as a personal preference most of the time. I think the best answer will come from when you print...do they look great then? Either way, cool shots.

Oversharpening tends to make lines go jagged. There is a lot of jagged lines in the first image, so yeah.
#2 has some issues with the top of the railing and in #3 a couple of the smaller pipes running across the image are jagged. I don't think it's a deal killer for these two, but personally, I'd either use less sharpening or try and clean up those spots.

At normal viewing distance they look good on my tablet but when I scrutinize, the artifacts are evident. Sharpening is one of those application-specific things...no one size fits all unfortunately.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Sharpening is subjective. True oversharpening is when it really looks bad and distorted. These I think are fine. They look crisp. Trust your taste.

I like them.

I can't help but wonder what the last one would look like in the dark, long exposure and using a flash handheld to light paint everything.

You could stay in there for a while. LOL Nice shots

These are beautiful. From what I can tell, the third image is over-sharpened, but to the untrained eye it probably wouldn't be noticeable. I only noticed because I was looking for it. Good job, though.

Before reading the comments, I thought the last one was the least sharp. Number 2 looks good, but I think Number 1 is a tad oversharpened. I think I see the beginning of halo-ing around the stacks.

Thanks guys. I also feel the first may be a touch over sharpened and may rework. I posted the rest of the set here: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1237257

I like the way they look. #1 has a slight tilt though.
