Have you tried locally - like Kijiji or Craigslist?

Why not just get an aftermarket neck strap? I never found the Canon ones to be too comfortable anyway.
You could go this route :http://www.henrys.com …NEOPRENE-STRAP-BLACK.aspx (external link)
Or you can order the OE strap from them.

I think I have one cause my 7D was stolen last April and it had an aftermarket strap, so I think the original one is in the box at home. Only thing is I live in Florida so obviously shipping would probably kill the deal.

Scatterbrained is right. The original strap is uncomfortable to me. I have CPS strap. The POTN Support Shop (red type above) has a near clone of that strap available for $20. Link below if you can't find the red type above...

Why buy a Canon strap that says 7D on it when for the same price or less, you can buy a much more functional and comfortable aftermarket strap?

Yeah, go for a better strap.

I found that the Canon strap for my 40D cut into my neck and was extremely painful when I had a 70-200 f2.8 and a flash on. I got a neoprene stretchy strap that is infinitely more comfortable. When I got my 7D, that stretchy strap moved over to it and I put the 7D strap on the 40 (only because I refuse to use a camera without a strap, and a bad strap is better than no strap).

But given the choice, I;d never use a Canon strap. Simply put, they're crap.

If you really want one, put up a WTB post. I am sure someone (who has taken the entirely correct advice of the previous two posters) would be happy to sell you theirs...

Or the op could follow the rules, and all it takes is to be a bit more active, say 17 posts maybe? ;)

Priority flat rate envelope will cost ~$12 USD to Canada, just as info to all involved here. First class 1oz went from around $1.70 to $3 recently, and flat rate priority from $10 to $12.

So the 2 options, $12 for flat rate priority or around $5-6 for flat rate bubble mailer via USPS international first class.
