Does anyone know if the charger that is used for the older sealed lead acid battery will charge the new lithium-ion battery or is it required to use the dedicated charger specific to it.

How are you liking the new Li_Ion battery?

Yeah, the price of the charger is quite insane... specially when the non branded equivalent is not that expensive (remember someone found Lead charger for 1/4 of price Elinchrom is asking).

I like the Lithium battery, it was definitely worth the money. I just wish Elinchrom would have introduced it earlier (there are older packs/heads that are not supported, look it up). The one battery now has replaced both of my Lead gel batteries. It is smaller and packs more flashes, which is good for location work. :)
