I have a lot to learn, but I am pleased with the 2 shots below. The one thing I am not pleased with is shooting in ETTL mode. I feel as I if am cheating, taking the easy route, or not getting the most of the flashes. But, now that I have the flashes and wireless triggers, it's time to start practicing with the lightbox and learning flash!

Since I only have 1 light stand I decided to leave it behind and use both flashes on the ground. I plan to order 2 more light stands as I now have a 3rd speedlite on the way.

So for practice I got up and shot my parents Honda Accord this morning:

Thanks for any feedback to get me in the right direction for next time

PS > I know there is a lot of information the flash & transportation section. So, I'll be spending time in there when I'm not practicing with the gear.

crop the second tighter

I like #1 as is. Not sure if it was your plan but it's a very interesting shot. I like the angle of the camera and the light.

If you were going for a more traditional shot I would raise the lights to show some of the top side.

#2 just doesn't do a thing for me.
