I do like the colors of the foliage. I am not, however, a fan of the perspective of this shot. It seems very two dimensional to me. There's no lead in, just a bridge crossing the scene. The murky colored water also distracts, but there may not be anything you can do about that. Are there any other vantage points in the area that offer a more interesting perspective of the bridge while retaining the foliage in the background? If so, I would try shooting from one of those locations.

It will have to be next year. Folliage is gone for this year. In fact we had a couple of snow showers come through yesterday!

You worked with what you had, but not a fan of the bridge, dont know if you could of taken shot from a different perspective. The fall colors seem to be at there peak, and are outstanding. Also like them reflecting onto the water. Dont know if you can get another shot from a different angle. I know you said the foliage is gone, but maybe next season you can return, and get it from a differnt vantage point

Yeah, the bridge is not working as is. Perhaps brightening it up a bit would work?

Dave,

Always interested to get your take! Did you brighten the entire image? It appears you did. LR or PS and how much did you brighten? I like your edit.

Thanks for taking the time to look and respond!

Actually just LR4.2. I brought the shadow slider up.

No it is not HDR. If you go back and look at the first image shadows and blacks are visible.
