Swimming in the upper marsh of a saltwater lagoon. (reposted the image following suggestion made by Mark/ mojo_uk)

I see why they have the name Cinamon. I would love to see one of these but I would likely have to fly west and south west. Nice capture!

Yes, it is San Elijo Lagoon, east of highway 5 along Manchester Ave. Thanks for the comments.

Nice shot of the bird. I don't believe i have seen any cinnamon teal here even in winter.

That's what I figured. I haven't been up there in a while, looks like I need to go back up there.
BTW, there are tons of Cinns at the WAP right now.

Nice looking bird and lovely colours, Dennis.

The image looks a little on the soft side to me, is this cropped? Also the bird seems to be swimming uphill, a small custom rotation to the left would cure that and lastly the composition could be improved by cropping, putting the bird more to the right and a little lower in the frame. Just my thoughts though.

You are right, the duck was at a great distance and the camera was not as level as it should have been. I have rotate the angle 2 degrees and cropped the original post.
