The 60D should be better, but again, the difference is probably not that considerable, I don't know the exact difference, maybe a stop and a half better ISO. You need to go full frame for significant differences. Have you got fast lenses? A fast prime is the other option... Wissigle

You will not regret getting it, wireless flash sync is a real killer feature that the other cameras in your list don't have. yogestee "my posts can be a little colourful" More info | Oct 14, 2012 07:18 | #12 MuteGoose wrote in post #15118881 Hello again! Currently I have a 40d and an assortment of lens. I'm unhappy with my 40d for one simple reason, It's absolutely awful in low light, it's horrid above iso 800. I've decided that It's time to upgrade, and I have access to a 50d, and a 60d for great deals. I'd like to see a few images with EXIF intact at 800 ISO and 1600 ISO out of your 40D. I still have my old 20D which produces very good images at 1600 ISO, even my old 350D produced good images at 1600 ISO. If I were to spend full price, I'd probably just suck it up and grab a 5dm2. I'd keep my 40d so I'm not worried about fps really, if I need a fast camera I'll have my 40d. I also never use my joystick, So no biggie. My prices: 60d- 270 50- 70 5dm1-100 If you can get all those for that price - get all 3, and resale your way to a 5D2 EOS R6’ / 1D X / 1D IV (and the wife has a T4i)

Even my 5dc is pretty good at higer ISO's, the noise takes on a different quality which is far more pleasing to the eye than noise from a crop sensor. For the lowish cost of moving to a 5dc I would say try one for a bit and if it doesn't work out you can always move it on for very little (if any) loss. 2 x 5dc::50d::canon 28/1.8::canon 40/2.8::canon 50/1.4::canon 100/2::sigma 70-200/2.8::2 x canon 430 exii

One way to evaluate a camera is to look at the images it generates. These pictures came from a Canon 60D. The only challenge in creating these images was in making sure the camera was pointed in the correct direction. In actual use, the 60D has proven to be a very good performer. Again, note that this opinion comes from really using a 60D.
