Good idea, and very creative, Tommy.

Can I ask why you made the "2D drawing --> 3D camera drawing" intersection where the flash connects?

My thoughts would have been to make the transition at a slant, just below the prism, so that the camera itself appears to be pushing out of the drawing.

Just my tuppence....

Regards, and still, a great finished image!

Simon :-)

No particular reason really. Perhaps I will try your idea in the weekend.

My only complaint...the lines drawn onto the flash don't match up with the lines drawn on the paper. Flash drawing is too dark compared to the drawing of the camera.

That seems like it'd be an easy fix, though. Otherwise, great job. Nice creative concept, and well executed.

I'd also like to point out that the entire image looks good overall. It often seems to be the case that when people (including myself) start trying out something experimental, that they often get too hung up getting the experimental part to look right while ignoring the rest of the image. That didn't happen here. Everything here seems well shot and well planned out, not just the part where you experimenting.

Thanks. Several hours was spent setting the ligth and placing every single item in the scene. Wanted to have steam from the coffee but it was impossible to get both steam and the bubbles at the same time.

You are rigth about the difference in the drawing on the flash and the actual drawing. What happend was that this was done at a photoschool I attend. After the image of the camera was shot the printed drawing was done on my teachers pc and printed. I did not get a copy of that file so when I had to apply the same filter at home I struggled getting the effect the same.

If you do, please re-post it in here, as I'd love to see the comparison!
