Hi,

I ventured down to Wexford Town on Christmas Eve hoping to get some sunrise shots. The weather didn't cooperate so I tried to make the most of it. This is one of the two shots I took:

Great shot I like every part of it. One, niggle, the bottom left corner seems somehow incomplete ...

Beautiful monochrome.

Of course, the exposure and placement of values and compostion and chiaroscuro are all perfect. What really gets me though in this image is the soft glow. Very difficult to achieve, but you got there. Amazing how the famous "S" curve keeps coming up as a powerful compositional effect. I must remember to add that to my paper on "The Essentials of Composition".

I love this shot. I hope you captured it at a high enough resolution to blow it up to at least a 20x30 for your wall. It will entrance the viewer at eye level at that size.

Awesome.

I like this one very much indeed and the "stillness" effect comes accross real well. But I think I would like to see a more clearly identified horizon.

Happy New Year to all in Kildare from a Laois man.
