all without monopod but i will have one for the next race...

For me the monopod just got in the way - okay for long shots but absolutely useless for panning or close up work (i.e. when the car after the one you are following falls off the road and you turn quickly to try to capture the aftermath and crack your shins with the monopod). AWOL for a few years but back now.

crawford Senior Member More info | Oct 15, 2012 17:38 | #7 Stephan, no matter how good you get at panning, you'll still get some blurry photos (just fewer of them). As long as you get some you're happy with you're going in the right direction (just keep at the same shutter speed till you get more photos you are happy with then slow the shutter speed down). AWOL for a few years but back now.
