Very nice.
I really like what you've done with #1 and #2.
I'm sure they'll love them.

thanks everyone for comments!

yes, this was in point loma =). it was the first time i ever went there. it was his idea to go there. around 2pm the waters started getting a little high and the land that we had crossed had went under water. i was afraid of slipping on the rocks so i decided to just take my shoes of and walk in the water. it was soooo cold that my feet actually started feeling pain gah! but anyways i went across before they did since they decided to go with the rocks: (thats just his jacket tied around his waist)

for the silhouette shots, i just made sure the sun was behind them and i think you're supposed to meter the sky or something but i just lowered the exposure to whatever i thought looked good:

I really like the shots...good work...but watch the last one the horizon is very crooked and becomes distracting...

Cheers,

Cheers,

I don't mind the crooked horizon as much, but I think photoshopping out the people in the back ground of that shot would really stand them out more.

Excellent job in all though.......I'm just nit picking!

Beautiful work! I love the silouette quite a bit. The others all do such a nice job of showing the relationship and their personalities. :) There is always something magical about the beach... I suffer from lack of beaches here in Arizona.... I should move back to California someday.

Thanks for sharing a job well done!! Hope your feet are feeling better now.

I also appreciate the nit picking and that is why I do it on other shots as well...I was initially talking about the silhouette shot, but I don't care much for it in the other shot as well...it just seems like it is just a little off, not enough to be artistic, but then again I am certainly not the end judge of that...

Cheers,

Cheers,

yeah, i didn't notice it when i was taking the silhouette shot. and the other one is because there is a hill on the left. there are so many things to remember when taking a shot: metering, composition, see if the horizontal is at a tilt, see if there is something distracting in the background, see if anything is sticking out of the subject's head.... -? i always forget something.
