So, yesterday I went to shoot a wedding in a little place near London.
The bride is from Poland, the groom from S. Africa, and they are lovely people, really nice....but so nervous and shy!!!
It was really hard to get the shots I was hoping for because by the time we arrived at the venue, they were told that the weather was getting worse, and they were in fact, expecting lots of rain and thunder that evening.
This shot was taken at the bride's house, and again, due to the amount of people she had from Poland, she wanted the pictures taken in her back garden.
For a first time at wedding portraits...they sure didn't make it easy.
But, I have to say, they were sooooo nice that I didn't mind too much.
The other guy I was shooting with, Mark, will be dropping a disc with his shots tomorrow, and I will post some of them here.
Any CC is welcome, good or bad...I need to learn this wedding thingy, and I am open to all ideas.
The only thing I would add is that the idea of the vignette on this shot is theirs...it is one of the two things they did request, the other one was a black and white shot of the bride and groom together.

This one I quite like, although I am not sure why

The processing feels really off.did you add Topaz or something to the first? The second looks like some tonal contrast was added, and the a glow? I would like to see these as they came SOOC, just to see what you were seeing?

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

I don't hink you're going to find anyone that this processing work for...at least not for a wedding. It's unnatural and it sure isn't the way I'd want to remember my wedding. Did they bride and groom as for this type of processing?

Couples will look back at wedding images on their 50 year anniversary and many of today's trendy edits will provoke a "What the heck was that photographer thinking?!" reaction. In most cases conservative post processing is the better option.
