Not quite sitting up yet, but here are a couple of shots of my 4 month old

thanks everyone. honestly, I could have shot these with t2i and the kit lens. I find that studio type shots, except if the intent is to print very large, the equipment makes the least amount of difference. Most lenses are pretty sharp at f8, and unless you have serious distortion issues, or CA, every thing else tends to work pretty well.
these were shot using an alien bee 800 with a square 40 inch soft box, to the cameras left. the background is some felt I bought a couple of years ago at a fabric store. its at iso 200-250, f 7.1-8. I did not use a light meter (sometimes I do) and I rather shot and looked at the histogram and lcd. Minimal processing in LR (slight cropping, slight global sharpening), WB adjustment.
