Oct 15, 2012 19:15 | #7 Jay the weather was just starting to clear up right in that area. We endured a heavy rain about an hour before the performance & it was raining (very dark clouds too) to both the east & west during a good part of the performance.  Frank the timing was sheer luck thanks to the buffer size. I simply tried to judge when to hold down the shutter button and in most cases I let go (after seeing them cross) before the buffer filled. Next time I think I'll use my 35-350 L for that little extra bit of reach. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.
