Macro Bugs

Relatively new to macro, my gear consists of a 550D, 13 + 21 + 31mm bijia extension tubes, yn-465 flash. I generally use either my 50mm 1.8 or the 55-250 kit lens. These are a couple of my favorites.

Thanks all. Not sure about the last one. It's either cannibalism or mating. Haven't come across another image like it.

They are all quite nice, espectially the jumping spider.

Both jumper shots and the slug(?) are stand-outs for me.

Good series - could probably do with more diffusion on the flash.

I have a softbox attachment on the way for my flash .

Next step is to get a cable to get the flash off the camera.

heya, nice captures question though.. can you control the aperture on the bijia extension tubes? i'm thinking of upgrading from the cheap <$10 ones. cheers

The bijia ones I have yes you can, they have the connectors for it.

Great set. The last one is a super catch.
