I recently bought one of these for use with my G12 but when pressing halfway (difficult in itself!) I'm not getting the autofocus confirmation on the camera. Is this normal?

Oct 15, 2012 10:30 | #2 Please ignore the above - either I didn't push the connection all the way home or it doesn't like being attached with the camera already switched on. Certainly works fine if connected before turning camera power on.
