I had too much lens and cut his tail off as he checked out this Yellowjacket on this stump last night. (I'm having trouble figuring out which crop I like best)

Very cool shot!
I think the crop works well, am drawn right to the fox's face and yellow jacket, which is perfect.

Is this a return of one of the foxes you took to the rehabilitator?

Haha, cool shot.

Pure luck after waiting nearly 2 1/2 hours last night. Thank you.

I tried a tighter crop but it was just too much for my taste so i backed it off. Thank you for your opinion.

Yes, this is the male (the healthy one of the two) that was released back onto my property a few weeks ago after a visit to a rehabilitator. None the worse for wear from my observations. He is braver than the female but both run back into the woods from a loud noise or when they see someone.....

Great to hear they're both back out and enjoying life. Thank you for sharing! :D

For the ones curious this was my original edit but felt the crop was just too much. The one I originally posted here is almost full frame. Thanks for the replies.

+1 And I actually like this more heavily cropped version better.

Great capture, Duane. Hopefully the fox didn't get stung (LOL). You keep putting up these great shots and it makes me want to sell all my equipment and take up something else, like crocheting.

Said it before, but I hope these two give us some kits to see in the spring.

BTW, I agree with you - I like the original post better than the tight crop. Thanks for sharing your photos and stories.

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.
