For the ones curious this was my original edit but felt the crop was just too much. The one I originally posted here is almost full frame. Thanks for the replies.

QUOTED IMAGE

Either work, but I like seeing where the fox was standing. Great capture Duane!

Great capture, Duane. Hopefully the fox didn't get stung (LOL). You keep putting up these great shots and it makes me want to sell all my equipment and take up something else, like crocheting.

Said it before, but I hope these two give us some kits to see in the spring.

BTW, I agree with you - I like the original post better than the tight crop. Thanks for sharing your photos and stories.

How's Philly treating you? We still joke about your visit and how you were introduced to everyone....one of those "I guess you had to be there" moments. It was great finally meeting you btw. :D

Like the show says, "It's always sunny in Philly." It was good meeting you too. It's good to put a face to a fellow POTN'er.

Speaking of "you had to be there moments," with regard to your latest eagle post, you commented that the photo was just for test image and I wanted to respond "DWDI" but figured no one would know what it meant.

Thinking of heading to MD next week, but first reports are that the eagles aren't congregating quite yet. Definitely heading down there just before Thanksgiving. Maybe we'll see you there?

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.

Hi Duane,

I like the second crop with perhaps a different approach in PP...here's a quickie just to offer another perspective you may consider my friend.

It's sporadic in MD right now...some days are good, some bad. Depends on the power they are genterating. I have the Thanksgiving week off but plan on going up there before Thanksgiving. Playing the weather card right now and will drop what I'm doing and head up there for a few days in October.

DWDI is exactly what I would do with that image but I really wanted to see what all those extenders would look like and if it's worth getting a 2X...for me, it's not worth it. :D

Thanks for showing me how you see the image....it's a bit dark for my taste though.

Both are great. I like #2, more detail in the yellowjacket.

I like the more heavily cropped version, as really the story is about the fox and the wasp, so we need to see both. Great shot, which ever way!
