This was fall family session for a returning client...excellent catching up and watching how big the littles get year after year.

Can you spot the changes I made?

I like pic #2 better, lighting looks more natural. The flash is noticeable on the first. But I do like the comp on #1 with the path leading to the family, it draws the eye to them. Nice work.

First shot is a 2 speedlite set up - cross lighting. One using a shoot threw umbrella and the other bare bulb but high up to act as more of a hair light.

Second shot is a single speedlite and a shoot threw umbrella.

I like the comp on #1 as well, but I like the hair light in #1 because of the separation from the background.

I changed these using Aperture 3....since this was a fall shoot without the fall colours, I changed the green colour of the trees.

I dig it alot.

I had to sell my 7D this summer because my son got that fungal menenjitis and we needed the cash as we were at an out of town hospital for 5 weeks. He is better now thank GOD. Now I just got informed I get $8000 from my grandparents for a inheritance so I think I am going to buy a 5D MII and a coule of good lenses.

These images make me really want to get a camera again.
