maybe one of you FD lens users can answer this...

I've got a couple of FD lenses at home, that don't seem to work with my FD to EOS adapter. the only thing I notice different about those lenses is a silver pin or peg. when I connect it to my adapter, no matter what I change the aperture to, I don't see the aperture open or close like I do on my other FD lenses.

Their other lens offerings might be better. this one gets "cloudy" real quick if I'm trying to shoot something that's backlit.

This 135mm doesn't do too shabby if I'm shooting something other than the above mentioned conditions. Trying to keep it steady while focusing on the screen can be a little challenging (and nausea inducing lol).

My absolute favorite is their 50mm 1.7, it kicks my Canon 50mm 1.4's butt.

I've also had their 50mm 2.8 with the weird aperture ring where you could turn it either way to step it down. Currently have their 75-200 macro as well, not a show stopper but far better than other vintage zooms I've tried.

They are the current manufacture of Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses. They're also made stuff for Nikon and Canon.

I use a 135mm regularly with no issues, but when I use anything longer than 200 it feels like I'm on a boat lol Totally different than what it feels like on my gripped DSLR.

Can you post a photo of the back of the lenses that aren't working? Sounds like the lens might be an FL lens.

From a Hot Air Balloon festival yesterday. Weather was bad enough they didn't lift off.

crappy cell phone pics...sorry. It could just be the lens is bad too. I have 3 Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 lenses. two of them work fine, but one acts the same way as far as turning the aperture ring and nothing happening.

Cosinon 135mm and DeJeur 135mm. The Cosinon works fine, but the DeJeur does not.

upon looking at both of them, I guess both have the pin I was talking about. The DeJeur's pin is just silver while the Cosinon's is black.

what FD/FL adapter is everyone else using with great success? I'm wondering if my adapter is a bit picky on what it wants to work with :-)

Upload to a hosting site like flickr, then use the BB code they provide.
Remember to keep it under 1000 pixels as per the forum rules.
