I used to carry my 5D II everywhere with me. Now it stays at home and the M sits comfortably in my jacket pocket.

I pulled the trigger on the EOS M. White was $50 cheaper than black, and I'm investigating a red stripe option to make it an EOS M L. Got the 18-55 and the flash, as well as the EF adapter.

The major justification for it is to sell my old FD glass, of which there is a significant inventory. I will take sample shots with the FD glass on the M as well as similar shots with the corresponding EF lens, plus shots with my DSLR.

Have Fun,

Rick

You may find that you want to keep some of those FD lenses to use on the M.

Heck.... I went eBay searching for FD glass when I got my FD to EOS M adapter lol.

Picked up an old Canon 70-210 f/4 for $15. Unfortunately I can't seem to adjust the aperture on it, which is strange because I have some FD lenses that are the same way. I have 3 50mm f/1.8 lenses. 2 of them work great and can change the aperture, but the third one acts the same way as the 70-210...

For most of them I have the equivalent EF lens. I will be interested how shots with the FD 500 f4L turn out - I don't have that one in an EF, and I really like it on my DSLR with the Canon FD-EOS adapter.

Have Fun,

Rick

The main reason I got the M was to adapt all the FD lenses I couldn't on my DSLR :D

When my pup actually stays still, the EOS-M is absolutely awesome.

Here is a screen grab from video mode. Not sure what the setting were other than using the 18-55 kit lens, full auto mode.
