Excellent. I got mine for Christmas and noticed it trying to focus when I put the lens cap on. Found that menu and turned it off right away. It must be a default setting in the firmware.

There's a setting that allows you to use it. It's called "Shutter Release without Lens" or something like that. Enable that and you can use manual lenses.

Anyone have recommendations for a small, portable microphone to use with the M? Probably one that attaches to the hotshoe mount. I'm not interested in something too over-the-top expensive, just want one that's superior to a built-in mic for a quick interviews, family events, that sort of thing.

I use the rode videomic pro.... but I'm sure there's something cheaper, but wont be as easy or small.
