Love the dog.

Thanks, Aswald. This photo makes me think that the 35mm FOV of the 22mm gives the perfect balance in normal to wide angle perspective for taking cute big head photos of dogs.

Video related. :)

A few from Saturday (daughter's performance in local theater, a venue with great lighting). EOS M and 22 prime, all shot from my lap with the screen on the darkest setting so that nobody else was bothered. No beeps, no light, but the camera hit most shots. I used auto ISO and TV at about 250.

This is a musical called Doo Wop Wed Riding Hood. Very funny.

This young lady (15) is a theatrical genius. She played the fairy godmother with a thick, New Jersey Shore accent. Absolutely flawless and a beautiful singer. This one is going all the way.

Nice colorful costumes.

The dude in the middle and the skinny guy were also brilliant. Amazing actors. So funny.

were you able to turn off the focus assist light? I couldnt find any setting to turn that off.

And good shots for having to shoot from a low angle.

I did, in fact, turn off the focus assist light. It's deep in the menu system.

Yea, I always keep mine off. That's the first thing I disable on any camera that has it. I realized how obnoxious they are when my friend was snapping some shots at a party with his Nikon DSLR a few years ago, everyone in the room knew when he was about to snap a shot.

The camera for the most part focuses just as well without the light, as long as you have contrast.

It's in the custom functions menu.

I don't understand this post. I'm interested but don't know what you mean by "taken with both."

The pictures are beautiful, but I don't understand which camera took a picture of which photo.

Sorry. Just confused, but intrigued because the photo quality is so good.

I thought it was just me, I read that post 4 times trying to understand the meaning (and still don't).

Yes. I've come to love the 35mm fov recently. Always shot 50 and 85mm. There's a certain kind of magic about the 35mm that is pleasing to me.

I just loved the way your dog looked. So curious and obedient. And its coat, browns never looked so good. Beautiful dog and color.

Sorry again. "Taken with both" was explained a few posts down. Basically, the eos M took Donald's picture and my Fuji x20 took the picture of the M and lens.

In terms of the rest of my post, if you are interested, I wrote it out with more details in the MF thread: https://photography-on-the.net …p=16644046&postcount=6014

Sorry for the cat picture, but this is the best iso 3200 result I've pulled from the M:

I have sold my M to a fellow POTN member. :(

I'll miss it a lot, but I ordered a 6D and need a lens for it, so the M had to go.

Regardless, I still have a few pictures to contribute here and there as not all have been processed and posted.

I was surprised how little it helped even in poor light. I had to really go dark for it to make a difference.
