Does anyone here have an EOS M with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M and the EF 35mm F/2 IS USM? I'm wondering how big this setup would be and would like to see a picture of it. However a quick search on Google and Flickr didn't give me any results.

I've got the eye-fi card and it makes uploading images to twitter and instagram so easy. I never use my iphone camera anymore.

I might look into the metabones adapter too.

I was thinking about doing that. I've used my 6D's WiFi to upload pics out on the go several times and LOVE that ability... I'll have to look into that.

One more question: Does anyone have a good screen protector recommendation? I have a GGS glass protector on my 6D and I love it, but I ordered a Larmor shield for the EOS M (which is supposedly the same company) but the quality is dismal... It came scratched and smudged up right out of the box, I'm going to send it back. I'm thinking about just getting the same one I got for my 6D since the screen is the same size, but I'm not sure it would fit correctly...

I couldn't find one at my local stores, so I just brought a cell phone anti glare screen protector and cut it to fit.
Rough, but it works.

Hmm, I really can't stand those plastic sticker protectors though :/

When I get home I'll have to put the M back to back with the 6D and see if the screen size truly is the same, if it is I'll try the GGS 6D screen. The one I just got for the M isn't any thinner than the screen on my 6D and the touch controls work perfectly with it on, so it's worth a shot. I'll report back after I try it out.

I never bothered with screen protectors on any of my devices, besides by cell phone, never had problem with scratches. I like the feel of the screen without plastic on top.

The protector on my 6D is glass, it looks and feels just like there's nothing on it, I'll post a pic of it when I get home. I never bothered either until I saw how scratched up the screen on my t2i was when I sold it.

Is the LCD cover on the M plastic? My 5D2 is glass and its perfect like the day I bought it. I think with the M because of the smaller form factor, I'll be handling it different so more prone to scratches, but we'll see.

Anyways for the M, have some nice events to attend to this weekend as well as a double photoshoot, so I'll be able to put the camera through its paces and see what it can do. So far have been really happy with the IQ, detail, and ISO performance.

Just picked up an EOS M with the 18-55 and 90EX flash.

Was only $400 open box and is new with full canon warranty :)

I like it so far from playing around with it. I think I will buy an adapter later for the EF lenses to work on it!

^Agreed :) I've been loving mine! I don't understand all the negative hype... the AF is seriously not THAT slow...

Two words: Ken Rockwell.

I'm not against the guy or anything. He's actually pretty cool (we come from the same town and talk occasionally).

He praised the EOS-M considerably, especially image quality, but he tore it apart based on the autofocus.

Thank you. bw!

I believe it is, plus once you get outside you'll realise how reflective it is!

I got my EOS M today and snapped some shots straight out of the box, so far I'm loving it!

To my surprise though, it seems Lightroom doesn't recognize it's RAW files during my import preview! I find this very odd since my 6D files have no problems with Lightroom... is there an update out for this? I can open and edit the RAW files just fine it seems, but it won't give me a preview image so I know which ones to bother with importing...

These are my first test shots from around the house (boring I know). I'm impressed that the noise algorithms have been improved so much for Canon's crop sensors, I took a couple ISO5000 shots that looked remarkably clean! My T2i was useless above ISO1600.

Also, has anyone tried using a generic Russian or Kodak 35mm rangefinder optical viewfinder on this camera in conjunction with the 22mm lens? You can pick them up for under $50 on ebay and I figured it might be a good buy for some around the town street photography (though I usually use my 6D for that sort of thing).

it works well enough. the 'wide' frame represents 35mm focal length, which is what 22mm roughly translates to of course.

Yea, I read his review. I agree with Ken most of the time, and I get the concerns with the AF, it's definitely slow when compared to the competition, but it's really not that big of an issue for me.

I'm fairly sure it is, and it is on my 6D too so I played it safe and bought a glass protector. When I showed my friend (who shoots on a 5DIII and wanted a protector for it) he asked me why I didn't put my protector on yet, I asked him "you think I should?" and he said "Yea, your screen's in perfect shape, you should keep it that way" and I had to point out that there was already a cover on it ;)

And yes, the M has seriously surprised me, I'm loving mine! :)

Awesome! I appreciate the info! One more question though... how do you turn off the LCD when using it? I haven't seen any option for it in the menus...

A coulpe more shots from mine. First one is my mom's dog, he's here for the weekend scaring the bejesus out of my cat (Even though he's deaf, blind and slow as can be)

And with this one I forgot I had set the ISO to 1600, could have gotten away with a much lower ISO, but I'm still amazed at how well the exposure turned out and just how sharp this 22mm lens is! That's something the competition was seriously lacking... the 22mm STM is probably at least %60 of why I bought the M over the other options :)

Thanks, but that's the old EF 35mm F/2, not the new one. The new one is bigger.

you can't.. i use it for composing camera off while walking. if i see the shot i'll fire it up, otherwise it stays off to save the battery.
