Saw the Newegg deal, so torn about ordering it... I just picked up a G15 last week for $40 more than the Newegg deal on the M, wanting a small camera to keep with me.

Anyone think I should get the M and sell the G15? Even though in a sports photograper, I wouldn't use it on a shoot, unless for just static player shots on the benches and such.

Help me out...

Does GGS make a dedicated screen protector for the 6D now? Or is it for some other camera and just happens to fit? I've been looking for one. I have one on my 7D and on my T1i. Well worth it.

It really depends on what you need it for. For me the M made more sense because I wanted the best possible IQ on the go, I also wanted to have control over DOF, so for me a CSC was a no-brainer. To me if all you need is something on you that takes photos, you might as well get a good cell phone camera. The M's AF is definitely slow, so if that's something that will drive you crazy, stick with your G15, for me it's not a big deal.

Yes, the one I pictured was made for the 6D ;) I love it, only cost me $5 too!

I do want something with great IQ on the go, and AF speed doesn't really matter. I have an iPhone 5, but still feel limited. I want something I can get a good shot from without lugging around my 1D4 or 1D3.

You have to ask yourself whether you need the DOF control and the low light ability, those are really the big differences. Size wise they're almost the same if the M has the 22mm attached.

I decided to pull the trigger on the M. I have a feeling I'll like it more than the G15. And I should get most of what I paid for the M back if I sell the G15. And at $349 it was hard to resist.

^Thanks guys! I think it compliments my 6D perfectly :) I really hope Canon has a few more awesome pancakes like the 22mm on the way! My only complaint is how the STM lenses manual focus... kinda weak sauce.

Use the Mount Adapter EF-EOS M and put a nice small, decent manual focusing lens on it. ;)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a small bag for the EOS M? Maybe the camera with the 18-55 attached, one more EF lens of moderate size, plus the adapter, memory, battery and that's all... keep it small.

I intend to get it eventually, but for now I don't need it, I like the form factor with the pancake lens attached :) I'll be doing some paid stuff near the end of the summer, for that I'll definitely buy the adapter as a "just in case" so I can have a backup to my 6D.

I had this little guy in the pouch of my vest the whole day for Airsoft on Saturday, I never get good shots at games, this was a nice change

Luckily they didn't shoot at your pouch then. :p

Pretty sure they did at some point... my vest is made of cordura and the M is made of magnesium, I didn't worry about it the whole day, actually, I did when I was walking through a swamp, at one point the water got up to my waist, that made me a little nervous ;)
