Fun with my EOS M. The EFM 22mm f2 felt too small, so I tried on my 70-200 f2.8L.

How are you guys finding it in this respect? At the beginning of time there was absolutely nothing. And then it exploded! Terry Pratchett

How are you guys finding it in this respect? The AF accuracy is not in question, but the speed is a bit slower than a dslr, but it's not a restriction in most circumstances other than sport. It's not that slow from my point of view, you just need better technique, that is where to place the focusing point. 1Dx, 1DM4, 5DM2, 7D, EOS-M, 8-15L, 17-40L, 24 TSE II, 24-105L, 50L, 85L II, 100L, 135L, 200L f/2.8, 300L f/4, 70-200L II, 70-300L, 400Lf/5.6

nero_design Senior Member ![]() More info | Nov 26, 2012 09:56 | #41 My EOS-M with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens This lens is the slowest of all the EF lenses when mounted on the EOS-M but it does produce consistently good pictures if you can live with the AF. * Taken with the PowerShot G1X. My cat Mauii, taken with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens just a few hours ago (no flash) My first ever attempt at traditional street photography... Taken with the EOS-M + EF 135mm f/2.0L USM lens (no flash) Waiting to cross... Taken with the EOS-M + EF 135mm f/2.0L USM lens Notice how the young girl is unconcerned with using her mobile phone but the woman on the right is clutching her handbag - because this street is notorious for snatch-and-grab attaks.(no flash) EOS-M with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens Not a particularly fast or slow lens on the EOS-M. Works just fine otherwise. * Taken with the PowerShot G1X. Taken with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens(no flash) Two friends at Hooters Parramatta (Desiree & A.J.) ... Taken with the EOS-M + EF 135mm f/2.0L USM lens (no flash) Composition is poor because I was backed up against the window with this lens. Having used the EOS-M for a few weeks now with 6 different L-Series EF lenses and having tried the 18-55mm M-series native lens on this camera, I really do like what it does. It's more of a specialized camera for me... I'll mount a prime on it and use it as a walkabout lens. The touchscreen is appealing and responsive and I like the small scale of the package, even with a larger lens on it. * I was VERY impressed with the 18-55mm M-Lens. Haven't bought one yet, just the Camera body with the EF adapter.

How are you guys finding it in this respect? Perfectly accurate, however auto-focus speed takes 0.5 - 1 sec depending on lens and focus point. About the same as a point-and-shoot camera (same speed as my 3-year old Canon D10). The pictures you see posted here actually give a better indication of the type of shooting you can do with the camera (notice no fast action shots). 5D3, EOS M, 350D/XT, EOS Elan 7e, 580EX, 270EX II, EF 17-40 f4L, EF 24-70 f2.8L, EF 70-200 f2.8L, EF 100mm f2.8L IS Macro, EF 50mm f1.4, EF 40mm f2.8 STM, EF 28mm f1.8, EFM 22mm f2.0 (5Dc sold, 30D sold); '82 Nikon FE, Nikkor Ai 50mm f1.8.

However, street shooting and action of that sort can be revived with the Magic Lantern's focus peaking, which will make MF possible [accurately] It's in the works as we speak. <[EOS-M][5D MKII][1D MKII][Elan7][700][Hasselblad 500]>
